The series The Way of the Salt Worker is a tribute to the salt marsh worker, a profession linking man to the earth and the sea. Artists have documented the labour of the salt workers, with the same gestures, since the 14th century. It was the Benedictine monks who first worked the salt marshes in the 7th century.
